영화가 만들어진 결과, ‘이 영화는 액션이 다 했다.’ 라든가, 아니면 ‘음악이 대박이다.’ 라는 식의 의견들이 나오기 마련입니다.

광해군은 암살의 위협을 느껴 자신과 똑같이 생긴 대역으로 기방 광대인 하선을 왕좌에 앉혀 놓고 본인은 다른 곳에서 잠을 자곤 했습니다. 하지만 결국 약물에 중독되어 보름간 혼수상태에 빠지게 되고, 승지(현재의 비서실장)였던 허균은 혼란의 발생을 박기 위해 하선을 대역으로 앉혀 놓고 아무일이 없었던 것처럼 연극을 합니다. 그러다가 백성을 진심으로 아끼는 하선에게서 진짜 왕의 모습을 보게 됩니다.



[광해, 왕이 된 남자] 는 실화인 것처럼 꾸민 픽션 영화입니다.

어느 정도 사실을 바탕에 두고, 또 어느정도 고증을 하며 이야기를 풀어나갔으므로,

‘팩션’ 이라고 하는 것이 더 맞겠습니다.

영화에서 실제 사실과 영화화 된 팩션을 비교 해 보는 것도 흥미가 있었기에, 표로 간단히 정리해 보았습니다.


극적 구성을 위해 영화에서는 하선이 아닌 실제 광해군은 마치 백성을 아끼지 않는 왕처럼 묘사되지만, 사실은 그렇지 않았습니다.

뭐~ 픽션이든 팩션이든, 영화는 재미있습니다.


역대 1천 2백만명이 넘는 관객이 관람, 역대 14위라고 하지만 사극 소재의 영화 중에서는 명량에 이어 2위입니다.




영화 이모저모


이병헌은 1인 2역이 아니라, 1인 3역을 하였습니다.

영화에서 이병헌은 1인2역을 너무도 훌륭히 연기했다고 평가 받죠.

하지만 엄밀히 말해 이병헌은 1인 2역이 아니라, 1인 3역을 하였다고 말할 수 있습니다.

즉, 광해군, 왕 역할을 하는 광대 하선, 진짜 왕이 되어 버린 하선. 3역이죠.

영화를 보다 보면 맨 처음 광해군을 만난 하선과 진짜 왕이 될 것을 고민(?) 하는 하선의 모습은 완전히 다른 인물이 되어 있음을 알 수 있습니다.


미공개 엔딩이 있습니다.

원래 상영된 공식 엔딩과는 달리, 따로 제작된 엔딩 장면이 있었습니다.

개봉 후에 따로 공개가 되었는데, 큰 관심을 불러 일으켰다고 하네요.


이병헌의 첫 사극 도전

[광해, 왕이 된 남자] 는 이병헌의 첫 사극 도전 영화입니다.

처음 시나리오를 접했을 때, 배역을 맡게 될 것 같다는 생각이 크게 들지 않았지만, 여러 고민 끝에 결국 하게 되었는데,

그 결과 정말 잘 맞는 옷이었구나… 라는 생각을 하게 되었다고 합니다.


이병헌과 류승룡은 동갑입니다.

이병헌과 류승룡은 동갑이지만 개인적인 친분은 없었다고 합니다.

하지만 [광해] 촬영장에서 처음 만나 친분을 쌓기 시작했는데, 이병헌은 류승룡의 외모가 너무 올드해 보여서 처음에 말 놓기가 굉장히 어려웠다는 후문입니다.


각본을 쓴 황조윤 작가는 영화 [올드보이]의 작가입니다.

황조윤 작가가 [광해, 왕이 된 남자] 의 시놉을 처음 받았을 때, 단순하게는 넘 흔한 “왕자와 거지” 컨셉의 내용이라 집필을 망설이기도 했다네요. 하지만 역시 고민 끝에 시나리오를 작성했는데,,

이후, 그의 대표작이 [올드보이] 에서 [광해, 왕이 된 남자] 로 변해 버렸다고 합니다.

옛~~날에 동아방송(DBS) 이라는 민영 방송사에 성우로 입사하셨고, 1980년 대에 KBS로 합병되면서 현재 KBS 성우실 소속입니다.

덕분에 우리가 들으면 알만한 다양한 성우로써의 필모그래피도 보유하고 계신데요.


가장 대표적인 성우 필모는 바로 장군의 아들 2, 3 에서 김두한 역할입니다.


[장군의 아들] 은 당시 후시 녹음으로 제작된 영화입니다.

동시 녹음의 기술이 부족해서가 아니라, 요즘으로 따지면 레토르 감성의 영화를 만들다 보니 그런거죠.


이 때 주인공이었던 김두한 역할의 목소리가 바로 장광 님의 목소리 입니다.
